Technical University Darmstadt — Darmstadt, Germany M.Sc. in Computer Science | April 2021 – September 2024 GPA: 1.39/5.0 (lowest best) Thesis: Using Retrieval-Augmented Generation to Uncover Implicit Relation Between Texts
Guangdong University of Technology — Guangdong, China B.Sc. in Information Security | September 2016 – June 2020 GPA: 3.89/5.0 (highest best) Thesis: The design and implementation of a secure private cloud storage system based on CP-ABE algorithm
Work Experience
Research Associate (Full-Time) | Ubiquitous Knowledge Processing Lab (UKP), TU Darmstadt December 2025 – April 2026 Conducted research on bias in machine-generated text detectors toward non-native English speakers, supervised by Prof. Rozovskaya. Additionally contributed to an open-source annotation platform (Project-CARE), supervised a master’s thesis, and performed lab service duties.
Student Research Assistant | Ubiquitous Knowledge Processing Lab (UKP), TU Darmstadt November 2024 – May 2025 Extended master’s research on detecting implicit relations between texts using RAG. Extended the architecture with heterogeneous retriever and reader variants, broadened benchmark coverage by integrating additional datasets, and designed multiple joint training strategies including staged training of reranker, retriever, and reader.
Student Research Assistant | Trustworthy Human Language Technologies Lab (TrustHLT), TU Darmstadt May 2023 – November 2024 Adapted and evaluated differentially-private training approaches across multiple NLP models and datasets (WMT16, BSD), contributing to the paper DP-NMT: Scalable Differentially-Private Machine Translation. Resolved OOM issues in the JAX framework and expanded the pipeline to support additional datasets.
Student Research Assistant | Produktionsmanagement, Technologie und Werkzeugmaschinen Lab (PTW), TU Darmstadt November 2022 – June 2024 Applied deep learning to sensor data and welding machine configuration parameters to predict product quality and optimize machine configurations. Implemented data augmentation for limited industrial data, developed an Actor-Critic model via Stable-Baseline3 for configuration optimization, explored multimodal fusion strategies, and refactored a GNN-based solution with GNNExplainer for interpretable predictions.
Student Teaching Assistant | Ubiquitous Knowledge Processing Lab (UKP), TU Darmstadt November 2022 – March 2023 Teaching assistant for the master’s course Foundations of Language Processing. Responsible for answering student questions and grading homework via nbgrader.
